Inez H Slamet-Loedin
She is currently the CGIAR global lead on precision genetic technology. She is a principal scientist and head of the Genetic Design and Validation unit at the International Rice Research Institute (member of CGIAR). Her research portfolio in the last 25 years covers the improvement of rice nutritive content, photosynthesis, and improvement tolerance to drought and rice diseases in various elite Indica rice by precision genetics and novel breeding innovations. She is an adjunct professor at the University of the Philippines and the University of Hasanuddin, Indonesia. She got her PhD from Nottingham University and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leiden before she returned to the Indonesian Institute of Sciences as the head of the molecular biology division at RC Biotechnology. She is an elected fellow of The World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries -UNESCO. Publication list:
