Meng-zhu Lu
Dr. Mengzhu Lu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang A&F University. Former chief expert and deputy director of the Institute of Forestry of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, director of the State Key Laboratory of Forest Tree Genetics and Breeding. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the School of Biology of China Agricultural College and his doctorate from the Department of Forest Genetics and Plant Physiology of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He is mainly engaged in the research of the molecular mechanism of wood formation and the breeding of trees by genetic manipulation. He was selected as the "Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation of 10,000 People Plan", the "National tens of Millions" talent project and awarded the "China Youth Science and Technology Award". He was a board member of International Poplar Committee and deputy director of Genetics and Breeding Department of China Forestry Society. He has served as PI for 3 national projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation, China. He has published more than 100 scientific research papers.
