Bao L. Ton
Bao Linh Ton is a PhD student at UWA, School of Biological Sciences and reaching the end of her PhD journey. She gained a Bachelor degree in Biotechnology at Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam and a Master degree in Applied Science in RMIT University, Australia. She worked at Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City Viet Nam as a researcher and lecturer before starting her postgraduate study at UWA. During her research career, she conducted studies on plant tissue culture, soybean transformation, isolation and characterization of Bacillus thuringiensis and identification of plant pathogens such as phytoplasmas. She is now a member of Batley Lab at UWA, and her PhD project focuses on application of the CRISPR/CasRx system in interfering turnip mosaic virus infection in canola plants.
