Adam Vivian-Smith
Dr Adam Vivian-Smith studies the genetics of plant sexual reproduction and has, for the past 14 years, worked on forest biodiversity and genomics relating to red and black listed species. These species include lichens, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, gymnosperms, angiosperms and their pathogens. He has expertise in Nanopore sequencing technology and genomic assembly, and that provides fundamental species level knowledge which guides conservation, helps understand forest history and helps manage complex forest ecosystems.
