Nataliya Kovalchuk
Dr. Nataliya Kovalchuk completed a Master's degree in Biology from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, Ukraine followed by a PhD in Biology completed in 2001.
She served as a Senior Researcher at the Botany Research Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine, where she conducted research on hormonal regulation of plant organ growth and the adaptive role of natural plant growth regulators.
In 2006, Dr. Nataliya Kovalchuk transitioned to Australia, where she continued to work in her field. She has been working as an ARC Research Associate at the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFG), University of Adelaide, for a decade.
From 2016 to 2020, Nataliya took on the role of Project Leader for a GRDC-funded service agreement at the University of Adelaide, where she performed benchmarking and field validation of transgenic frost tolerant wheat lines.
Currently, Nataliya serves as a Research Specialist at the Centre for Desert Agriculture, division of Biological and Environmental Sciences and Engineering in KAUST, Saudi Arabia.
