Juel Datta
Juel Datta (he/him) is a second year PhD student in the Genetics and Molecular Biology Program. Juel studied Agriculture (BSc) at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh and achieved his master’s degree in Plant Pathology from the same university. Before starting his PhD at QUT he worked in multiple research projects on rice breeding, insect-pest management, and genome editing in several national and international organizations. He is interested in understanding different plant molecular mechanisms and currently working on understanding and improving Citrus flowering using biotechnological tools. In his free time, Juel loves to cook, travel, and play chess.
