Claudia-Nicole Meisrimler
Claudia Meisrimler received her PhD from the University of Hamburg, Germany, in 2012. Her early research focused on plant iron and phosphate starvation, investigating enzymes involved in redox reactions and reactive oxygen species production.
In her last postdoctoral position at Utrecht University, The Netherlands, she began focusing on plant-pathogen interactions. Claudia achieved tenure in 2019 and started her own research group at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. Her current research focuses on the interface of plant-pathogen interactions and immunity. She has a keen interest in signal transduction and signal cross-talk, with a particular focus on oomycete effector proteins that modulate plant signalling and fast response mechanisms in the host plant, including calcium and ROS signalling.
