AYODELE FAKOYA International Plant Molecular Biology Conference 2024

AYODELE FAKOYA

I am a PhD student at the prestigious University of Otago with a strong interest in plant physiology. Currently, my project seeks to better understand the genetic and environmental factors contributing to delayed flowering in perennial ryegrass. In addition, I am also interested in the application of NGS, long-read sequencing and bioinformatics in unraveling the genetic and molecular mechanisms controlling flowering time as well as other desirable physiological plant traits, with goal of ultimately contributing to the development of climate-resilient varieties.
