My expertise is in plant metabolic engineering, where I have focused on three research topics. Firstly, I've delved into the 'stepwise engineering of the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway in rice.' secondly, I've investigated the ‘modulating the biosynthetic mechanism for functional terpene metabolites in rice.' thirdly, I've explored for ‘regulatory mechanism of terpene metabolism by transcription factor, microProtein, protein chaperon etc. in rice.' Through these endeavors, my aim is to contribute towards sustainable crop bio-fortification ensuring food security and promoting human health via plant biotechnology.
