Maria Pazos Navarro
I am a Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia, specializing in plant genetics and breeding, particularly in legumes. I aim to exploit new technologies to solve agricultural problems. I have a special interest in the effects of light and temperature on plant phenology, and how light quality affects plant in vitro processes during genetic modification. My work seeks to develop biotechnological tools to accelerate breeding processes and currently involves the use of genetic modification (both conventional transformation and genome editing).
