Sergey Rumyantsev
Sergey Rumyantsev is a researcher at the Laboratory of Plant Genomics at the Institute of Biochemistry and Genetics of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2019, he received his phD for studying the role of the pro-/antioxidant system in the regulation of wheat plant resistance to cereal aphids by endophytes Bacillus spp. Then he continued his postdoctoral research focusing on studying the role of target genes of hormonal signaling networks in the development of resistance of wheat plants against cereal aphids by endophytes Bacillus spp. and studying of the regulatory mechanisms of RNA interference induction and the role of small RNAs in the interaction between wheat and cereal aphids.
