Jun Xiao
Dr. Jun Xiao is a Principle Investigator in the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and a professor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also a group leader of CEPAMs, a joint center from John Innes Center and CAS. He serves as independent faculty member for Faculty 1000, and a member of the editorial board of Scientific Reports, Journal of Integrative Plant Biology. He got his PhD degree in developmental biology in the Institute of Botany, CAS in 2013 and did post-doc training in epigenetics in the University of Pennsylvania till 2018. He is engaged in the research of functional genomics of wheat, focusing on the development process of important tissues related to crop yield, such as inflorescence and seeds. He has made series of progress in epigenetic regulation of plant development and adaptation to environments. Some of the works have been published in Nature, Nature genetics, Nature Plants, Genome Biology, Molecular Plant, Nature Communications.
