Amelie Bernard
Amélie Bernard obtained her PhD at the University of Bordeaux where she studied the synthesis of plant cuticular waxes. After graduating, she moved to the US for her postdoc at the University of Michigan where she studied the regulation of autophagy in budding yeast. In 2016 she was recruited as a group leader by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), in the Laboratory of Membrane Biogenesis (Bordeaux, France). Her group uses multidisciplinary approaches integrating lipidomics, proteomics, high-resolution microscopy and biochemistry to cell biology, to study the mechanisms by which lipids instruct membrane remodeling during plant autophagy.
