Xia Li
Dr. Xia Li, Distinguished Professor, Senior Principle Scientist of Soybean Genetic Improvement Group in National Key Laboratory of Crop Improvement, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in plant molecular genetics from Purdue University, USA at 2001. Then she joined Vector Tobacco Inc. as a research scientist and group leader. She joined Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (IGDB) as a PI in 2004. In 2015, she moved to Huazhong Agricultural University as a distinguished professor with the research focus on genetic basis of symbiotic nitrogen fixation and adaptation with the ultimate goal to genetically improve soybean with high yield and good quality.
