Christopher R Buckley
Dr Chris Buckley researches the circadian clock in wheat. He completed his BSc and MSc at the University of Sheffield, UK, before moving to Australia to undertake a PhD with Dr Mike Haydon at the University of Melbourne. His PhD research uncovered phenotypic and genotypic variation in the circadian clock of elite wheat cultivars, and found that this variation impacts the timing of wheat development and nutrition. Chris is now a research fellow at the University of Melbourne, and his focus has moved to the influence of the wheat clock on heat tolerance.
