Shuhua Yang
Shuhua Yang is a professor in the College of Biological Science, China Agricultural University (CAU). She received B.S. and M.S. degrees at Nankai University, China, and a Ph.D degree at National University of Singapore. After completing postdoctoral research at Cornell University, she joined the faculty at CAU. She is currently the Director for State Key Laboratory of Plant Environmental Resilience. Her laboratory mainly focuses on the study of molecular mechanism of plant cold responses using Arabidopsis thaliana and maize as research systems. She is also investigating the crosstalk of cold signaling and plant hormone signaling, as well as light signaling. Her research aims at deep understanding of how plants perceive and respond to the environmental temperature change.
