Hao Yu
Prof Hao YU is currently Provost Chair Professor & Head of the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore, and Board Director & Temasek Senior Investigator of Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory. His research focuses on the fundamental mechanisms of plant reproductive development and epitranscriptomics as well as their applications in crop breeding and urban farming. The plant materials created in his lab have been distributed to over 150 labs in more than 20 countries. He is currently serving in international Advisory/Evaluation Panels for national institutions and universities in China, Japan, Malaysia and Spain, and also serving as Editorial Board member for reputable international journals, such as Annual Review of Cell and Developmental Biology, Molecular Plant, eLife, and PLoS Genetics. In recognition of his scientific contributions to Singapore R&D landscape, he has been awarded with prestigious national awards, including President’s Science Award, NRF Investigatorship, and National Young Scientist Award.
